I went to Vancouver last week to, among other things, attend the Brookswood Days ceremony of welcoming the fibreglass painted horse Tattoo back to the park. The day was rainy and cool but that was not why many were miserable. For the second time in less than a year, the beautifully painted piece of public art had been vandalized. The horse had been placed in the park on Friday and sometime overnight his hooves were cut off and his body damaged.

Why do people do this?

What do we do about it?
